Mr.Hat Maker -Van Huynh-

ひとつの疑問。

「ニューヨーカー」とはいったい何なのだろうか。

情報がタイムレスに流れ込む今、NewYorkには「この人はまさに思い描いたNewYorkerだ！」と思える服装をしている人だけが住んでいるわけではない。

実際、勝手に僕がイメージする、〈Maybelline〉の広告に出るような

"THE NewYorker" と呼ばれる人は、その他大勢に比べれば少なく感じることが多々ある。

What is the "New Yorker"?

Actually, I do not know the definition of "NewYorker".

What I only can imagine is, that person is like a Maybelline's commercial models.

But I'm not sure.

ただやっぱり、僕の思い描き、追い求めるような

とびきりおしゃれな「NewYorker」は存在する。

However, I understand that he is definitely true "New Yorker".

〈J.J. Hat Center〉という、僕の中ではNewYorkで一番渋い帽子屋で働くVan。

自分のオリジナルのハットブランド〈vanhuynhNY〉を出すために、日々勉強している彼。

He is Van. Shop staff from "J.J. Hat Center".

That hats and accessory shop is one of the most cool shop in NewYork City.

To launch his original hat brand 〈vanhuynhNY〉, now he is studying the way to make hats at Fashion Institute of Technology. 

ルールに沿ったアメリカン・カジュアルも素晴らしくかっこいいのだけれど、
彼のような、「俺には俺のアメカジがある。」と言わんばかりの服装には
心底痺れてしまう。

Of course not only the traditional American style is wonderfully fashionable,
but also I'm fascinated by his original American casual style.
  

未だ「NewYorker」の定義を見出すことは難しい。
しかし彼のその芯を貫いたような、 "彼なりのアメリカン・カジュアル" は、
「NewYorker」と呼ぶに相応しいことはいうまでもないんじゃないだろうか。

It is still difficult to find a definition of "New Yorker".
But I think his way to wear the American casual is enough to call him as a "New Yorker".
